Once again, the seniors won another class competition in a year of almost complete dominance. The seniors defeated the juniors 6-4 on May 3 in sudden death overtime. The game was not without controversy; however, as the juniors claimed that the seniors had too many people on the court for almost two minutes of the five minute game. This slipped by referee Mr. Moomjean despite complaints by the junior class.
The seniors started by defeating the freshmen in sudden death overtime with the score of 5-4, while the juniors dominated the sophomores 11-0. This led to the championship game, which ended with the seniors winning. The third place game saw the sophomores win 6-4.
With the end of the year drawing close, the seniors have a lock on first place. They have toppled the junior class, who won handedly last year. When asked about why the seniors have been so successful this year, Shanen Fernandez said, “We are motivated and all for having fun. Together we are focused on the same goal and all just wanted to have the best senior year possible.” Though not all classes can claim victory, all have had a great time in this year’s competitions.
